#BIPOLORASYLUM
Climate change has almost no apparent impact on me but my child suffers. She’s caught in a bipolar vortex. The ecosystem is deteriorating too fast for her and it's impossible for her to catch up with the technology. The internet keeps her awake all the time and she can’t get enough sleep to dream. The news feeds her with destruction but she has to smile for her selfie. The top trends change rapidly as she dances for others. The arctic melts at an alarming rate but the butterflies don’t come for her. The ozone depletes but she can’t play with stars, The sun is too bright, yet she doesn’t glow. She can’t breathe… She has to catch-up. She seeks asylum... The project offers a prayer to God. I wanted to create this project on two fronts, one to use natural essence to establish fluidic freedom from the biodiversity and waste natural substances so I chose chlorophyll and natural dyes from the dropped flora of my neighborhood. The second front was to highlight the tangible as well as the intangible impact of climate control on my child who is constantly pulled between the two poles of technological development and freedom, questioning the very ethics of urbanized upbringing.Less More
