‘If’, ‘What if’, and ‘But’ summarise my life’s hypothetical experiences and emotional conundrums since childhood, teenage and marriage, and led me to a midlife crisis. I feel my planet is upside down, no literally, ‘what if’ I’m stranded upside down on this planet ‘but’ staring into the deep dark well with a ‘if’ fake plethora of stars, ‘what if’ they are staring back, ‘if’ they are not, ‘but’ ‘what if’ they never do. Gravity is my friend. ‘What if’ gravity is not my friend. ‘If’ gravity disappears, ‘What if’ the deep dark well pulls me in ‘but’ the deep dark well is bright during the day. The sun is out. ‘If’ the sun disappears. ‘What if’ a new sun appears, ‘But’ ‘What if’ it doesn’t. The project seeks wisdom. Wisdom from a seer. ‘If’ the seer has the wisdom. ‘But’ will the wisdom be enough to turn the planet upside down for me and make it upside down from what it is. ‘What if’ the seer doesn’t have the wisdom. ‘But’ will the flowers bloom? … I seek.
